Judges 14

Chosen by God doesn’t mean perfect. Samson makes a poor choice for a spouse, and his parents are distressed. But this actually has a part to play in God’s plan (4:4). Samson’s wife proves to be more loyal to her own people than her spouse, which causes the rift between them.

Thought for the day: When we give into the world and its ideals, we can find ourselves controlled and betrayed, especially with our relationships. That’s why we’re warned about it in Scripture.

2 Corinthians 6:14-16 (WEB) “Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? What agreement does Christ have with Belial? Or what portion does a believer have with an unbeliever? What agreement does a temple of God have with idols? For you are a temple of the living God. Even as God said, ‘I will dwell in them and walk in them. I will be their God and they will be my people.’ “
