Leviticus 22

We have instructions regarding who can eat the offering (only those who are ceremonially clean and members of the priest’s household), and a reminder that the offerings themselves had to be perfect. The symbolism is important again. The perfect is sacrificed for the imperfect, which is a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. He is both the perfect sacrifice and the perfect sacrificer!

Thought for the day: Where would we be without Jesus?!?!

Hebrews 7:26-27 (WEB) “For such a high priest was fitting for us: holy, guiltless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; who doesn’t need, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices daily, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. For he did this once for all, when he offered up himself.”
