Proverbs 2

If you were a father talking to a son and trying to give him advice, what is something you would warn him about? Sexual immorality would probably be right there at the top of the list. Proverbs 2 is written like a father speaking to a son and trying to convince him of the importance of following Godly wisdom. Godly wisdom acts as a shield, protecting us from making wrong decisions. Godly wisdom is a guard, watching over and guiding us. Godly wisdom is a guide, delivering us from the way of evil and revealing those who are evil, crooked, and devious. Godly wisdom steers us away from immoral sexual relationships!

Thought for the day: There are two parties at fault here. One openly seducing, and one open to it. We should make sure that we are filling our minds with wisdom to help us stay away from evil.

Psalm 119:11 (WEB) “I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.”
