Psalm 97:8-12 “Zion heard and was glad. The daughters of Judah rejoiced because of your judgements, LORD. For you, LORD, are most high above all the earth. You are exalted far above all gods. You who love the LORD, hate evil! He preserves the souls of his saints. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. Be glad in the LORD, you righteous people! Give thanks to his holy Name.”

When was the last time you rejoiced over God’s judgment/justice? Perhaps we’re finally living in a world/age where we put less trust in our government officials. Many other people around the world have been there for a long time! When we expect our leadership to be immoral and unjust, who do we look to for righteousness? God! We should love what He loves and hate what He hates. And we should rejoice that He always gets it right, as well as rejoicing in His mercy. After all, we deserve His judgment too, but through Jesus we become His saints!

Ephesians 2:4-9 “But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness towards us in Christ Jesus; for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast.”
