Psalm 73:16-24 “When I tried to understand this, it was too painful for me— until I entered God’s sanctuary, and considered their latter end. Surely you set them in slippery places. You throw them down to destruction. How they are suddenly destroyed! They are completely swept away with terrors. As a dream when one wakes up, so, Lord, when you awake, you will despise their fantasies. For my soul was grieved. I was embittered in my heart. I was so senseless and ignorant. I was a brute beast before you. Nevertheless, I am continually with you. You have held my right hand. You will guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.”

Yes, it often seems that evil gets away with it. But only for a time! When we enter God’s house is should remind us of the blessings that are ours because we are His. We will be received into glory! Not so for those who don’t know Him. That’s why we should pay attention to His counsel. Our future is secure, and we should joyfully serve and follow even if it’s hard sometimes.

Romans 8:18 “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed towards us.”
