Isaiah 5-8 (The Daily Walk Bible).

Cleansing, calling and commitment. That’s a good way of describing it! But we could also add confession. Being useful for God starts with our understanding that He is holy, and we are not. “I am a sinful man. I have filthy lips.”

The issues from Isaiah 5 are ongoing problems in society: unbelief, calling evil good and good evil, ungodly leadership, living for pleasure, and greed. Is it any wonder that judgment follows? How far are we from judgment?

Isaiah 7:14 is understood as virgin in the New Testament and is explained that way. Mary had never known a man, but the Holy Spirit caused her to conceive!
