Proverbs 12:22-23 “Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, but those who act faithfully are his delight. A prudent man conceals knowledge, but the heart of fools proclaims folly.”

As we’re going to see repeatedly in Proverbs, we shouldn’t speak when we don’t know what we’re talking about. Sometimes we seem the wisest when we say the least! But when we do speak we should always be honest and faithful. Gossip, slander, and lying are evil and an abomination before God.

Matthew 12:36-37 “I tell you that on the day of judgment, people will give an account for every worthless word they speak. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
