Proverbs 12:8-9 “A man is commended according to his good sense, but one of twisted mind is despised. Better to be lowly and have a servant than to play the great man and lack bread.”

Normally, if you do good you are respected, and if you do evil you are disliked. However, in the world we live in we often find it reversed! That’s because the culture is anti-God and unbiblical. When we want to know how to live, we need to make sure that we look to the Bible and to the righteous for guidance.

Humility goes a long way in this world. I’ve known people who felt that they were too good for certain jobs. Inevitably they ended up struggling, while those who were willing to work ended up doing much better.
