Proverbs 11:25-26 “A generous person will be enriched, and the one who provides water for others will himself be satisfied. People will curse the one who withholds grain, but they will praise the one who sells it.”

We have a continuation of the theme from yesterday. The image is not just of generosity, but of grace. Perhaps there is a famine. Will you hoard your grain, or provide it for others? If you are generous and willing to share, people will speak highly of you and treat you well. If not, they will curse you. And that’s just from an earthly perspective! God will certainly enrich and satisfy the generous, and those who are greedy and stingy will have to face His wrath.

Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you: A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be poured into your lap. For the measure you use will be the measure you receive.”
