Revelation 14-16 (The Daily Walk Bible).

Disaster and despair. You would think that the combination would turn people toward God. Instead we read, “they cursed the God of heaven for their pains and sores” (16:11). Apparently the last days won’t be that different than all the days before! People are continually faced with hardship, and that hardship should turn them to God for help and guidance. Instead, the hardness of peoples hearts has them turn even further away from Him. Is it any wonder that judgment eventually falls on mankind? And even when it gets worse, we see people continuing to curse God to the very end (16:21). There is some importance guidance for us in this passage though: we are to wait patently (16:15), live faithfully (16:15), and continue to share the gospel (14:6-7) until Jesus comes back!
