Revelation 7-9 (The Daily Walk Bible).
One of the characteristics of apocalyptic literature is the use of figurative language and symbolism. For example, as the devotional points out, 7 is a symbolic number, and it’s used a lot in the book! It’s what makes Revelation such a conundrum. How much is literal? How much is symbolic? How much is past? How much is future? People will be debating these points until Jesus returns! So, what can we learn from these chapters? If we only take 8:17 to heart we will do well. It reminds us that Jesus is our shepherd, and because of Him we have a future that will be filled with joy!
I am paying attention. Revelation 7:17 “For the Lamb on the throne will be their Shepherd…”
Wondering if they made a change in the edition or you just gave us an extra day off from reading? We have chapters 4-5 on Dec. 24th;
6-7 on the 25th and
8-9 on the 26th.
I do have an older edition!
