Hebrews 8-10 (The Daily Walk Bible).

Here we’re reminded that the New Covenant we’re a part of is better than the Old. In fact, “better” is a significant word in Hebrews. We have a:

• Better hope (7:19)
• Better covenant (8:6)
• Better promises (8:6)
• Better possessions in heaven (10:34)
• Better country: heaven, not Canaan (11:16)
• Better resurrection: never to die again (11:35)

Hebrews also emphasizes the “once for all” nature of Jesus’ sacrifice:

• He offered Himself once for all (7:27).
• Once for all He entered the Holy Place (9:12).
• He has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin (9:26).
• Christians are sanctified once for all by the offering of Christ (10:10).

Praise the Lord!
