The devotional suggests looking for how the nation broke the 10 commandments according to Hosea. Here is the list:

There are some great nuggets here that we can challenge ourselves with, made especially jarring by the NLT translation.

Hosea 4:1-2 “There is no faithfulness, no kindness, no knowledge of God in your land. You curse and lie and kill and steal and commit adultery.”

Hosea 4:4 “Don’t point your finger at someone else and try to pass the blame!”

Hosea 4:6 “My people are being destroyed because they don’t know me.”

Hosea 4:11 “Alcohol and prostitution have robbed my people of their brains.”

Hosea 5:3 “You have left me as a prostitute leaves her husband.”

Hosea 5:5 “The arrogance of Israel testifies against here; she will stumble under her load of guilt.”

Let’s make sure that we aren’t stumbling under a load of guilt!
