Isaiah 24-27 (The Daily Walk Bible).

The joy of the resurrection in the OT: “Your dead shall live; their bodies shall rise. You who dwell in the dust, awake and sing for joy! For your dew is a dew of light, and the earth will give birth to the dead” (Isaiah 26:19).

Isaiah 24:21 is an example of the NLT giving us a false understanding. The ESV has: “On that day the Lord will punish the host of heaven, in heaven, and the kings of the earth, on the earth.”

Isn’t Isaiah 26 glorious? I sometimes wonder at those who split the book and say 1-39 is about judgment and 40-66 is about salvation. Yes, there is plenty of judgment in 1-39, but there is plenty of hope too!
