Ecclesiastes 7-12 (The Daily Walk Bible).

There are many different opinions on Ecclesiastes. Some people argue about who wrote it. Others argue about its outlook on life. Some want to say that it is a composite work.

I believe that it was written by Solomon in it’s entirety, and probably towards the end of his life. He has messed up, even with all the advantages and blessings that he had. Ecclesiastes is conveying a life lesson that came from years of experience. It is a sign of his repentance for his failures. It is a reminder of what is really important in life:

“The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.”
