Esther 5-7 (The Daily Walk Bible).
It’s amazing how much God is present, without even being mentioned in the book of Esther.
Mordecai just happens to save the kings life.
Esther just happens to become queen.
The king just happens to let Esther approach.
Esther just happens to delay her request.
The king just happens to not be able to sleep.
The king just happens to listen to the right record.
Haman just happens to build the gallows that he is hanged on!
If you believe that all just happened, then I have a bridge to sell you!
We also find Esther asking her brethren to fast with her for three days and nights. When the Jewish people fasted, it meant that they prayed. Who do you think they are they praying to?!?!?! Once again, God is not mentioned, but God is present!
Remember: God is always present. God has a plan and a purpose. We can trust Him no matter what! Even when we can’t readily see His work, we know that He is orchestrating events for His kingdom and His glory. And that should bring us comfort, regardless of what is going on around us!
