Numbers 31-33 (The Daily Walk Bible).
Some thoughts:
(1) A good insight from the devotional. Secret sins as “splinters” in our spiritual life. Socrates said that “the unexamined life is not worth living.” We certainly should take time to examine our lives to see if there is any sin that we need to confess and eradicate.
(2) We should also take time to review our lives just as Moses recounted the nations journey. Where have we been? How has God helped us? Perhaps even where are we going?
(3) And another good insight regarding the nations who stayed on the other side of the Jordan. While we need to live in the world so that we can witness to others, when does living turn to wallowing? We need to be careful that we are influencing those around us, and not being influenced by them.
